Be The Best

This summer will see the best of the best coming to UK shores in the shape of the London 2012 Olympic Games. As the official recruitment services provider to London 2012, Adecco is keen to understand what impact the Games will have on the workplace. We are conducting a nationwide survey of our candidates and clients to identify employers’ plans for covering employee shortfall, the impact the Games will have on the workplace and whether they are using the Games as a tool for engagement and motivation.

Over the next few weeks this area of the site will be hosting a series of London 2012 engagement guides, our survey results and a ‘Britain’s Workplace Best’ competition with London 2012 Games tickets up for grabs so make sure this isn’t the only visit you make.

To get you started, we have a few suggestions of activities that some workplaces are already running to get into the spirit of the Games:

Office Olympics Olympic Breakfasts
A Sales Conference built around a business decathlon Olympic buffets
‘Fan Walls’ to support particular Games participants Decorating the office
A ‘Party in the Park’ A summer fitness programme (incentivised walk/cycle/run to work)
And our favourite: Gold Medal duvet days (for a random selection of people if GB wins more than three Golds in a day)
