Read a little more about some of the people who have joined our team and the experiences and insight their roles have provided:
Michelle Sullivan
Client Relationship Manager
Public Sector
Background
I have 10 years experience in the recruitment sector, having joined the industry shortly after graduating. I started my career as a consultant, before moving onto business development, branch management, and finally client relationship management ― overseeing Adecco’s NHS, ESFA and Steria accounts.
My job involves working closely with the retail network; implementing new account wins, managing effective cost and process efficiencies, and ensuring my clients receive first class service delivery at both an operational and strategic level.
What attracted you to working in Adecco’s strategic accounts team?
I liked the idea of focusing on key accounts whilst using my public sector experience and operational background to make a difference to the value that the client receives from Adecco. As a Client Relationship Manager, I have a real impact on the account and am involved in all decisions relating to the running of the contract.
What it is like to work in the team?
The strategic accounts team embraces Adecco’s core values of team sprit, customer focus, responsibility and entrepreneurship. Our team is full of like-minded individuals, led by a very strong and inspirational leader. We all work together to share ideas and best practice and success is encouraged and recognised; which creates a very positive environment.
Alex Haines
Consultant
General Motors
Background
I spent almost seven years working as a recruitment consultant at Ajilon and Jonathan Wren and in 2010, moved internally to an onsite role at Vauxhall Motors following the birth of my son. This new role offered a better work-life balance and a fresh challenge. I had supplied staff to Vauxhall Motors for a number of years and as such, already had a reasonable grasp of the business.
What attracted you to working in Adecco’s strategic accounts team?
Whilst managing client expectations and maintaining a quality service are always high on a recruiter’s agenda, it is even more important given the visibility of our team (I sit next to the HR Manager of Vauxhall!) I love the responsibility of being able to control the process from cradle to grave and enjoy being the resident recruitment expert. The on-site environment is fantastic and my job is unique in its balance between traditional recruitment and HR functions.
I manage the recruitment lifecycle of all professional staffing vacancies, which includes taking the job, devising a recruitment campaign, advertising, preparing interview guides, screening, interviewing and drawing up contracts; taking as much of the load from the recruiting manager as possible. Working on-site, you get to see your candidates growing with the business and I take great satisfaction from knowing that I was involved in helping that person find the right job.
What it is like to work within the team?
Our team is passionate about the Adecco and Vauxhall business relationship, and are held in very high regard by the client. My manager’s knowledge of the Vauxhall business is extraordinary.
