We’ve got some good news for jobseekers looking for permanent work.
The permanent job market has show positive growth in new general staffing roles, with most sectors showing an increase in roles last month (May).
That’s according to the Adecco Job Watch, which tracks the number of job vacancies across all sectors from month to month.
There were more than 110,000 advertised job vacancies recorded across the board in May.
Many of those jobs were in accountancy, banking, finance and insurance – all sectors that are experiencing a notable period of growth.
The news will come as a relief to jobseekers who may be worried about a lack of vacancies as the UK comes out of the recession.
Steven Kirkpatrick, managing director of Adecco, said: “The latest data on new job vacancies is good news for those seeking employment, with sectors such as accountancy, banking, insurance and finance fuelling the creation of new roles in both the temporary and the permanent jobs market.”
The Adecco Job Watch is powered by mysalarychecker.com, which gathers data information from millions of UK job postings, which have been listed on a range of job boards, recruitment agencies, corporate websites and the associated listed companies.
