We are recruiting for a University based in the West End of London. They require a temp Academic Operations Officer.

They hourly pay rate is £15.80 per hour. This will be temp cover for up to 3 months, full-time (35 hours per week) and I will be solely campus based. You will need to be available to start by the 13th September.

We would need someone who is:

  • Organised

  • Has good admin skills

  • Confident in working on their own

  • Able to communicate effectively with students, academics and support staff (via email, in person and telephone)

  • Can use and manage databases

  • Higher Education experience is essential or experience working within the educational sector

1. Act as the main point of contact for operational and course support queries.

2 Manage the requirements of any external regulatory or accrediting bodies related to assigned courses.

3 Support documentation of course and module improvement plans as part of annual monitoring or other continuous improvement activity.

4 Co-ordinate the development of appropriate support documents for Academics, including course handbooks and how-to guides, as requested.

5 Work with key stakeholders to co-ordinate monthly operational meetings and quarterly marketplace review meetings for Alliances to consider module and course performance (student experience, retention, student numbers targets)

6 Support the organisation of events and processes around course induction activities for students.

7 Organise and arrange travel requirements for student course trips

8 Produce promotional material for student facing events and activities as part of their course.

9 Work with the Directors (Content), Course Leaders, and Student Engagement Manager to co-ordinate student voice activities, including planning for collection events and activities.

10 Undertake student experience initiatives as directed by the Director (Content) or the Head of Academic Operations.


Experience of administration in an academic or similar environment, ideally within Higher Education, Experience managing information / large amounts of data, carrying out analysis, and reporting on findings. Experience of using SITS Experience of being highly organised and effective in handling a wide variety of tasks and meetings deadlines
