Academic Operations Officer

Contract type: 3 month temporary role

Hours: Full time

Hourly rate: £15.80 per hour

Location: Based in London, closest station Baker Street.

Adecco are currently recruiting for an Academic Operations Officer to work for a prestigious university based in Central London.

The Academic Operations Officer will provide a professional and efficient academic support service to academic and partner professional services staff. The postholder will work closely with Directors of Content to support their programmes and will work closely with colleagues in the Academic Operations Team to support the University's academic operational requirements.

  • Act as the main point of contact for operational and course support queries.

  • Manage the requirements of any external regulatory or accrediting bodies related to assigned courses.

  • Support documentation of course and module improvement plans as part of annual monitoring or other continuous improvement activity.

  • Co-ordinate the development of appropriate support documents for Academics, including course handbooks and how-to guides, as requested.

  • Work with key stakeholders to co-ordinate monthly operational meetings and quarterly marketplace review meetings for Alliances to consider module and course performance (student experience, retention, student numbers targets)

  • Support the organisation of events and processes around course induction activities for students.

  • Organise and arrange travel requirements for student course trips

  • Produce promotional material for student facing events and activities as part of their course.

  • Work with the Directors (Content), Course Leaders, and Student Engagement Manager to co-ordinate student voice activities, including planning for NSS collection events and activities.

  • Undertake student experience initiatives as directed by the Director (Content) or the Head of Academic Operations.
