Key purpose:

My client is looking for a motivated Accountant to join their growing team based in Central London.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead main accounting functions: payrolls, social insurances registrations, payments, tax calculation and ensure VAT returns are submitted in time

  1. Inventory management:

  • Maintain the invoicing and accounts payable processes, prepare monthly reconciliation statements with suppliers

  • Monitor restaurant's Cost-of-Goods levels, prepare ad-hoc reports and help to identify further opportunities

  • Improve existing inventory management process by implementing industry best practices

  1. Cash-flow management:

  • Prepare weekly income reports and reconcile weekly cash deposits

  • make regular payments (suppliers' invoices, payroll, taxes)

  • monitor bank accounts balances and prepare monthly reconciliations

  1. Monthly reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (Cash-Flow, P&L)

  • Prepare and file VAT and company tax returns

  • Based on the monthly financial statements perform analytical review of the operational results

  1. Preparation of various documentation on request.

  1. Preparation of various reports on an ad-hoc basis and on request.

Knowledge and skills:

  • ACCA certified or equivalent

  • Experience in restaurant/hospitality business will be a strong advantage

  • Self-motivated, adaptive, eager learner who can manage and prioritize an evolving workload

  • Analytical mindset and great attention to detail

  • Excel, basic general MS Office, Xero/Sage/Quickbooks
