Do you want to be part of a specialist investigation and prosecuting authority tackling the top level of serious or complex fraud, bribery and corruption. We have exciting opportunity for anyone looking to work within a fast pace, professional legal environment. This role will involve working with a multidisciplinary team of accountants, investigators and lawyers on a criminal investigation. The individual will be required to conduct financial analysis using a range of data sources, discuss findings with the team and investigate as appropriate to identify evidence to support the investigation.


  • Tie revenue year-end/half year RNS announcements for 2014-2018 to: financial statements, Audit files, 30 September/31 March management accounts.

  • Further analysis of revenue figures within audit files to determine breakdown across the various group entities and revenue streams, in order to:

    • Understand how figures for the various entities and revenue streams tie through to the total revenue figure reported in the financial statements;

    • Understand what data the auditors were provided with, what testing they performed and the documents and explanations they received to support their work;

    • Identify potential manipulation within the various entities and revenue streams.

  • Review of SAGE data to identify/corroborate potential manipulation to revenue streams.

  • Review of material received from third parties in relation to revenue to identify/corroborate potential manipulation to revenue steams.

Essential Skills

  • Significant experience of operating in a complex, multi-strand investigative environment entailing large volumes of material.

  • Experience of auditing, insolvency work, forensic accounting (or similar).

  • Significant experience of examining material such as documentary evidence, and financial records.

  • Significant experience of complex financial analysis.

Knowledge or Qualification required:

  • A Chartered (ACA/FCA) or Certified (ACCA/FCCA) Accountancy qualification (or equivalent).
