Accounts Assistant
Maternity Cover

My client is seeking a responsible person work in their accounts department - starting in early November and the contract is expected to last until September 2020.


  • Purchase ledger (inputting invoices, making payments, statement reconciliations)

  • Posting daily bank transactions

  • Sales ledger (raising invoices, credit notes, credit control and sending customer statements)

  • Reconciliation of credit card and petty cash

  • Processing staff expenses

  • Monthly Intrastat arrivals reporting

  • First point of contact for the accounts department, dealing with internal and external queries.

  • Processing marketing claims

  • Filing, archiving, post, reporting.


  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in accounts

  • Good people, administration and timekeeping skills are essential

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both internal and external

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy paramount

  • Must be able to work independently and on own initiative

  • Proficient with MS Office particularly excel
