My client, a growing clothing wholesaler based in Kings Norton business centre, is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to support their Accountant with all things finance related. Working on the Amazon division of their business, your role will be to provide accounting and administrative support to the accounting and finance staff to ensure customer and supplier accounts are accurate.


Role Details:



  • £20-£24,000 per annum depending on experience

  • Permanent role

  • Immediate start available

  • Free parking available

  • Kings Norton Business Centre


Duties to include:



  • Maintain, manage, and record day-to-day transactions

  • Prepare, maintain, and manage general ledger accounting

  • Inspect, verify, and reconcile accounts receivable records and their balances

  • Maintain, manage, and update records of all inventories

  • Prepare various financial statements and records periodically

  • Perform and provide analysis support for key departments in managing budgets

  • Receive, process, and file paperwork


Skills/Experience required:



  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - intermediate to advanced user

  • Experience of using Quickbooks software is preferable

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and the ability to apply them in practice

  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code

  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive

  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately

  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
