My established client based in Kendal is currently seeking an Accounts Manager for a medium sized family owned business.

In this position you will have full responsibility for the day to day running of the accounting function including Management Accounts, Sales, Purchase, Nominal Ledgers. PAYE/NI, Credit Control, VAT and reconciliation.

  • Inputting, processing, reconciling and allocating purchase invoices with timely payment.

  • Raising sales invoices, allocating payments, issuing statements and credit control

  • Preparation and payment of weekly expenses and monthly payroll

  • Production of monthly Management Accounts with Balance Sheet reconciliations.

  • Produce, submit and pay quarterly VAT returns

  • Bank, petty cash and company credit card reconciliations.

Adhoc duties such as dealing with contract renewals, targeting cost reduction, eg company vehicles, waste removal, mobile phones etc

Experience of invoicing factoring would be desirable for this role, although not essential.
