Very successful company in Wilmslow looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their motivated and friendly team. The role is a 12 month FTC for maternity cover and ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role.




    • Salary is £22,500 plus £2,000 retention bonus





    • 37.5 hours/week





    • 25 days holiday, pension scheme and private health care





    • Office based role with some flexible working



ROLE


You will support a range of departments in the company and report to the Financial Controller. You will mainly be responsible for the entire accounts payable process, as well as accounts receivable responsibilities.


You will be overseeing transactions involving different currencies as suppliers are based worldwide. This role will require excellent attention to detail and the ability to use transaction systems is desirable. Strong communication skills are essential as the role does invole communications with internal and external stakeholders.



RESPONSIBILITIES




    • Communicating with operations staff to ensure the POs are correct





    • Matching POs to invoices and processing invoices





    • Inputting expense claims into the system





    • Processing payments for outstanding invoices





    • Processing bank transactions





    • Creating invoices, sending and following up on invoices





    • Assisting with VAT returns quarterly




SKILLS




    • Brilliant organisational skills





    • Strong attention to detail





    • Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships well





    • Good level of Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel




  • Proven experience working with SAP is desirable
