This is a well-rounded role to help SME's all with their accounting needs right from cloud accounting to advising clients, this opportunity can offer the best of both worlds in a really varied role - With flexible working and the opportunity of working from home !!!!

There are some key things we are looking for in return for a competitive salary:



  • Practice experience is essential - managing sets of accounts from start to finish.

  • Client portfolio relationship management - so great communication skills and the ability to travel to see your clients is a must.


Corporation tax returns experience would be a great benefit as would experience in personal tax return but if you have the right practice experience these are not a deal breaker.


Your key responsibilities in this role will be:



  • Prepare statutory accounts - this will include the preparation of accounts and supporting tax computations for customers requiring year end accounts and assist in the year end meetings with clients

  • The review/preparation of management accounts using cloud based software.

  • Preparation of VAT returns and ad-hoc bookkeeping using cloud based software

  • Assist in the preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns

  • Provide assistance in terms of general and specific support to Director and Managers as required.

  • Develop effective client relationships

  • Working on a portfolio of your own clients

  • Sufficient experience in a practice environment

  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ambitious and persistent, self-motivated and able to work to targets

  • Good organisational and time management skills.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate exceptional customer service

  • Ability to travel to clients premises when required

  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage, Iris, QuickBooks, Xero and Free Agent.
