Description



MAIN PURPOSE:


This is a temporary post to organise, record and move a large number of children's files from BTA Midfield in Orpington to the Civic Centre in Bromley. The post will likely last no more than 3 weeks.



SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Administer the sorting, recording and removal of the files

  • Sort files in terms of those which can be disposed of and those which need keeping

  • Record on an excel database various information about the files

  • Box files ready to be moved

  • Ideally assist with the removal of the files to the civic centre if possible.

  • You are expected to treat all information acquired through your employment both formally and informally, in strict confidence. There are strict rules and protocols defining employees access to and use of the Council's databases. Any breach of these rule and protocols will be regarded as subject to Disciplinary investigation. There are internal procedures in place for employees to raise matters of concern regarding such issues as bad practice or mismanagement.
