Pay: £15 per hour
Location: Newham
Hours: Monday to Friday. 9am-5pm. Hybrid working, two days in the office.

Must Have:



  • Enhanced DBS

Our client is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work alongside and support the Chief Finance and Operating Officer. This role is based in a school.



The ideal candidate will be proactive, have strong administrative skills, excellent communication via phone and email and attention to detail. This role is ongoing for the right candidate!



Duties include:



  • Set up and maintain high quality office operating systems, processes, and files (both manual and electronic) to ensure that all relevant information in the Chief Finance and Operating Officer Office (CFOO) is kept up to date, accurate, is stored securely and is accessible only to those who require it - given its sensitive and confidential nature

  • Implement and manage a comprehensive electronic filing system through Office 365

  • Proactively deal with issues for the CFOO, using initiative, knowledge, and sound judgement to resolve personally where appropriate. Recognise where issues require that the CFOO or other senior staff deal with them personally

  • Co-ordinating the CFOO's "tasks and to-do list" ensuring all deadline are met

  • Researching a wide range of topics and preparing briefs ahead of meetings/ presentations

  • Assisting with the production (and co-ordination of production) of complex documents, letters, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy

  • Monitor several inboxes and forward correspondence on to the correct person

  • Manage ordering office stationery and supplies, re-ordering as necessary

  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post

  • Support the process for co-ordinating papers on behalf of the CFOO for Board and Board Committee meetings
