Job Title - Administrator

Duration - Until 6th November (project dependent role so no real scope for extensions)

Working hours - Mon-Fri - 9-5 (Flexible)

Location - Home and Whiteley Office (will need to be in the office for a few days for training when first starting, then it will primarily be working from home)

Candidate does not need experience in Governance, a strong administrator would be able to do the job.

Our client just needs someone who can operate in a structured manner, can provide timely updates and is good at stakeholder management.


Responsible for the completion of the access management process for Finance Operations on and offshore staff under the supervision of the team's operational governance manager

Provide administrative support to strategic and operational governance managers to enable them to monitor adherence to governance frameworks to ensure Finance Operations remain compliant with corporate, regulatory and legislative requirements to which the organisation is expected to operate (e.g. data protection standards, organisation risk management policy, risk policy, etc.)

Job Accountability

Key Accountability

  • Completion of all access requests including user set up, amendment and deactivation and maintenance of audit records

  • Maintenance of the user access request form including annual recertifications

  • Provide weekly and monthly updates on access management activities to the operational governance manager

  • Provide administrative support for action plan oversight in Finance Operations

  • Provide support in respect of breach reporting including updates to the Salesforce tool

  • Provide administrative support in relation to regulatory, compliance, governance framework activities and respective change programmes

  • Provide support on quarterly control attestations and housekeeping exercises

  • Provide administrative support to the Governance team on meeting minutes, actions, reporting and process documentation

  • Providing broader team support as requested by the governance managers

Additional Job Functions

  • Basic knowledge of organisational structure, and governance and control processes

  • Basic knowledge of contractual or operational arrangements with relevant outsourcers and intra-group partners

  • Knowledge of access management tools

  • Basic understanding of the insurance industry, insurance products, financial and market-place activity, current trends and the regulatory environment

  • Awareness of risk; and understanding of risk mitigation. Knowledge of principles and methodologies for risk assessment; and Risk Management Framework, particularly Risk Policy

Business Accountability

  • Support local implementation of operational change processes and adhere to new ways of working where applicable

  • Identify and comply with the main principles relevant to legal and regulatory controls that govern standard work practices

  • Monitor operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement (cost reduction, increased efficiency, improved customer service)

  • Resolve access management queries/requests independently and recommend alternative sources/courses of action if unable to assist, to ensure that efficient, day to day customer service is delivered on access management activities

  • Follow a range of processes to meet the needs and expectations of customers and other stakeholders, delivering against operational Key Performance Indicators

  • Acting as a technical specialist in access management, receive, investigate and respond to queries from Finance Operations colleagues to provide appropriate advice

Education and Experience

Required - Educated to A level standard

Required - Experience of working in a large company and delivering responsibilities efficiently and effectively
