Admin Officer

£11.10 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 37 Hours Flexi time although core working hours are 10am to 3pm (7am latest start 10 am, earliest finish 3pm latest finish 7pm)

If you do this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience as we are recruiting for temporary administrators to join this growing team.

The role will involve processing online applications and assess documentation supporting applications from individuals wanting to remain in the United Kingdom. Caseworkers are expected to work to daily targets and performance.

If you have excellent admin skills, attention to detail and are able to follow processes then this could be the ideal role for you. Don't worry full training will be given.

The role will be until March 2022 but once you have security clearance and experience you can apply for the new roles after March or permanent roles that come up in your local office.

The benefits - you will be on Day 1 rights straight away which means equivalent hourly salary as a permanent employee and increased holiday to 35 including bank holiday

Due to the sensitive nature of the work CTC security clearance will need to be obtained, you will need the following:

  • Resided in the UK for the last 3 years

  • Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status due to the sensitive nature of the work

  • NI Number

  • 2 x proof of addresses (all in UK)

  • 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month

  • 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month


  • Responding to customers, both internal and external, to ensure appropriate information is shared.

  • Produce high quality work which delivers a quality service for customers.

  • Work in professional manner and reflect client values.

  • Ensure accurate interpretation and secure provision of data to customers with adherence to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

  • Maintain daily recording of own statistical information feeding into the team's overall productivity

  • Assess the results of any checks and determine the required action in line with policy guidelines

  • Working collaboratively and effectively as part of a team demonstrating awareness of policies concerning Equal Opportunities, Diversity and Health and Safety

  • Share knowledge, best practice, and support your team in their work

  • Support other teams

  • Treat all customers fairly, impartially, and with due respect in line with Departmental standards and Civil Service values.
