We have a great opportunity to work with a University based in Central London. The role is Admissions Officer and is paying £14.17 per hour.

This is a key role within the Admissions team, coordinating and supporting all aspects of the admissions process.
Under the direction of the Admissions Manager and working as a significant member of the Admissions team, to effectively manage applications and convert these to enrolled students. You will provide a friendly and efficient service to all enquirers and applicants throughout the process through to registration.
Working with external agencies as appropriate, you will contribute to the development of admissions processes and procedures to ensure the highest quality of customer service to all those engaging with this University.

Main Responsibilities
Process applications including:
 Decision making
 Managing acceptances
Decision making on applications including:
 Liaising with applicants to chase outstanding documentation and to answer queries;
 Making recommendations for acceptance based on submitted documentation; and work with academic Heads of Programmes appropriate on decision making.
Ensuring compliance with external requirements including:
 Ensuring compliance with HESA requirements;
 Ensuring you have / develop understanding of UKVI Tier 4 visa and CAS rules and regulations.
Support the conversion of applicants to enrolled students through:
 Working closely with Senior International Officers, Marketing Staff, Academic Staff, Student Registry, Agents and other stakeholders to ensure a 'joined up' service to all key stakeholders;
 Proactively engaging in conversion activities to enhance student recruitment.
Review & discuss unusual files with the Admissions Manager.
Use your expertise to contribute to discussions on difficult decision making situations.
Co-ordinate mailings to applicants.
Assist in dealing with incoming queries from generic email inboxes as required.
Meet with applicants and their families when they visit the campus, giving campus tours and answering queries as appropriate.
Assist with the co-ordination of the orientation and induction processes where required.
Assist at student registration as required.
Occasionally support the recruitment team by attending fairs and exhibitions both at home and abroad. Be prepared to present to groups of students on a variety of topics concerning recruitment to university.
Occasionally supervise temporary staff and student workers.
Liaison with internal departments, in particular heads of departments and other key academic staff.
Support the financial process regarding invoicing and credit note processing.
Build effective communication and working relationships with the rest of the External Relations team, sharing expertise and good practice.
Carry out other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Line Manager.
