Adecco are recruiting for a number of Adult Social Care positions for a South-West Local Authority. These roles will be working from home.


Below are the three roles we have available. Upon application, we will call you to discuss the role(s) you wish to be considered for.


Commissioner: Covid Support and Provider Risk Management


Temporary role - minimum 3 months (possible extension)


Main Duties/Responsibilities:



  • To help deliver the broad ranging Adult Social Care Commissioning priorities for 2020/ 21

  • Support and contribute to the delivery of a wide range of commissioning activity through the commissioning cycle , either in part or in whole to support winter and Covid -19 pressures

  • To support and undertake day to day market management and engagement across the Kingston care market inc residential & nursing care , home care providers and voluntary sector as required and through a variety of means

  • Undertake contract management as required and delegated

  • Support with Infection Control Fund monitoring and reporting


What we would like to see on CVs:



  • Experience of working as a Local Government Commissioner in Adult Social Care

  • Experience of commissioning a broad range of social care provision eg residential and nursing care, home care, voluntary sector services

  • Evidence of working at pace to deliver successful outcomes


Broker


Temporary role - minimum 3 months (possible extension)


Main Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Collaborating with key internal and external partners such as CCG, Hospital discharge, social workers, community teams, voluntary sector and service providers

  • Leading on the brokerage of care packages and promotes independent living, reflecting the requirements of care plan

  • Commissioning services in line with financial and contractual requirements that provide value for money and which are sustainable

  • Maintaining and ensuring records and systems are updated accurately and are GDPR compliant with regard to vacancies, allocations and allocations across Adult Social Care

  • Undertaking horizon scanning to ensure best practice

  • Collaborating with service users/LPA/professionals and others to support the implementation of care plans effectively

  • Leading on the communication of the Kingston Offer to service users/families and monitors the number of offers per person

  • Recording purchasing activity within Brokerage systems and IAS and extracts information and data for reporting purposes

  • Ensuring that contracts and Service Level Agreements are signed, returned and implemented appropriately

  • Monitoring quality assurance of service, escalating any concerns with internal commissioners


What we would like to see on CVs:



  • Experience of working an adult social care setting

  • Experience of brokering service for vulnerable people and an awareness of the the Care Act

  • Experience of working with different key internal and external partners, incl. as Social workers, finance, hospital discharge and community teams, care providers

  • Good negotiation skill, conflict mgmt skill, flexible appoach, work on own initiative,

  • Able to work across 7/7 ( MUST be able to work weekends on a rota basis). Service Operating Hours 8am -6pm


Quality Assurance Officer


Temporary role - minimum 3 months (possible extension)



Main Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Responding to concerns in a timely manner, liaising with providers, service users and social workers

  • Carefully filling out templates,

  • Monitoring National Capacity Tracker/ASC Tracker and follow up in line with RBK Outbreak Plan and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Update care records on electronic care record system

  • Attend daily meetings on Covid/PPE and action any issues.


What we would like to see on CVs:



  • Experience of collaborating with providers and service users

  • Comfortable in having difficult discussions with external stakeholders

  • Experience of Safeguarding/Whistleblowing processes

  • Experience of Local Authority Adults Social Care

  • Person centred approach

  • Flexible working hours/comfortable working on weekends

  • Attention to detail/comfortable with IT/ understanding of Google sheets/forms

  • Support coordinator/care coordinator
