About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding division within Atos Business Transformation Services (BTS). You will receive the chance to join Atos' Life and Pensions Centre of Excellence in Edinburgh.

In the Contact Centre, you will be the first point of contact for all inbound calls ensuring accurate information is given to our Customers so we can deliver right first time. We're here to help our customers with all pension related questions that will allow them to make informed decisions about their financial future. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that they have a memorable experience and are positive about the service they receive.

You will be working in our large modern office within Edinburgh Park which is an ideal location for travelling by all modes of transport. Full training will be provided onsite, and we are offering you an excellent chance to gain valuable experience of working in a rewarding role. You will gain skills necessary to help you deliver for the requirements of our customers which include some of the world's largest Financial Services companies. Whilst delivering exceptional customer service you will be measured on Quality, Risk, Customer Satisfaction and Efficiency.

It is a fast paced, challenging environment and your role will be purely phone based.

Call types vary from updating contact details and giving policy values to more complex technical queries about legislative changes.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Build trusting relationships with Customers on every call

  • Adapt your approach to meet our Customer needs

  • Use active listening to identify any Customer knowledge gaps

  • Convey information in an effective way that increases understanding

  • Use a variety of IT systems to deal with Customer queries

  • Carry out a range of customer service activities ensuring that the work is completed and adheres to our processes, procedures, standards, and relevant external regulations

  • Manage performance in line with expectations and SLAs to ensure individual and department performance

  • Receive award winning training and support

To be a Customer Service Representative, you will:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A professional and confident approach whilst communicating

  • Natural ability and genuine desire to help our Customers

  • Logical approach

  • Calm under pressure

  • Be Customer driven in everything you do

  • Have strong computer skills as working with a variety of IT Systems

  • Be organised and have a can-do attitude to 'Customer Service'

Essential / Minimum Criteria

  • Experience in a Customer facing role

Desirable Criteria

  • Financial Services experience

  • Industry exams for example CF1, FA2


  • 7 hour shift

  • Day shift between 8.30 - 5.45

  • Monday to Friday - 35 hours

  • No weekends

  • Shift rotation

Payrate is £10.20 per hour
