Adecco Aviation are very pleased to be supporting this London airport that is seeking a Technical Operations Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the airport's Head of Environment and Technical Operations, it will be your responsibility to ensure that aircraft are able to take off and land both now and in the future

This will be achieved by:

  • Facilitating external development in the local area whilst safeguarding the aeronautical environment, maintaining the safe and efficient movement of aircraft using the airport;

  • Assisting in the development of aircraft performance in partnership with both airlines and aircraft manufacturers;

  • Aiding the development and maximisation of the airfield operation and airspace development in liaison with the CAA, NATS and other aviation regulators.

The main tasks associated with this role include the following:

Aerodrome Safeguarding. Assisting with aerodrome safeguarding (local and regional developments) in line with all relevant legislation and published guidance, protecting the current and future operation of the aerodrome.

Airfield & Airspace Strategic Development and Maximisation. This will included the exploitation of the airfield's physical characteristics, aiding consultations with NATS and aircraft manufacturers on future planning applications, supporting the development of the family of aircraft that are able to utilise the airport and liaising with Airfield Operations Safety Management and Quality Management teams to further safe and efficient operations

The Airport's Pilot Forum. Coordinating and delivering the forum every six months, developing the agenda and disseminating all relevant information to those concerned

You will ideally be an aviation graduate with previous aviation/airport experience including aerodrome safeguarding, previous airport/aircraft experience and ideally a knowledge of factors affecting aircraft performance

In order to be considered for this role you will need to be able to easily commute daily to the airport, you will need to have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years and able to provide 5 years of written references and support any gaps of 28 days or more. You will also have to undertake a criminal record check (standard DBS)
