Our client are looking for an Arboricultural Services Officer to lead the day to day management and quality assurance of the arboriculture services contract, including administration, performance monitoring, liaison with users and contractors to ensure that services are delivered for Newham residents.


The successful person will be able to provide:



  • technical advice to the Council on matters relating to tree-related insurance claims,

  • advice on conservation areas and tree preservation orders, tree protection and retention on development sites

  • legal requirements in relation to dangerous trees.


Must have the following:



  • Experience of tree service management through contracted services

  • Experience of monitoring budgets

  • Experience of using and maintaining ICT systems including contract databases

  • Experience of performance management and quality systems

  • Experience of health & safety monitoring and undertaking risk assessments

  • Experienced of drafting reports and correspondence

  • Experience of providing good quality customer service



  • Educated to minimum National Certificate level (preferably Higher National Diploma) or equivalent in arboriculture or equivalent by experience
