Adecco's specialist Property Services Division North are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Public Sector Organisation to assist them in recruiting for a permanent Architectural Technologist to work out of their offices located in Doncaster



Purpose


This role in Property Services is focused on providing architectural and design support for the efficient and successful delivery of construction refurbishment and maintenance within ST. Leger Homes.


The person will lead and perform the architectural and technical design function generally in


accordance with the RIBA Plan of Work.



Duties



  • Meet and manage stakeholders while agreeing with project briefs regarding refurbishment and assets.

  • Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal, and regulatory issues around the


projects/schemes of work.



  • Prepare and submit planning application

  • Identify specific surveys to be done before work is commenced and have project reports available

  • Prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD)


and other design software, as well as traditional drawing methods.



  • Produce, analyse, and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials


or processes to be used, linking with other subject matter experts where


required.



  • Carry out design-stage risk assessments

  • Assist in the preparation and offering of technical solutions to problems or


variations by issuing written instructions including sketches or drawings.



  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of building legislation, standards,


techniques, contract, and commercial law and carry out CPD as identified or


requested by the company.



Candidate requirements



  • A minimum of Level 6 Architectural Technology qualification or another RIBA recognised qualification

  • CSCS card-valid or to be obtained in the next 6 months

  • Strong knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work

  • Experience with domestic architectural and technical design solutions and compliance.

  • Experience to undertake measured surveys of buildings

  • Strong AutoCAD skills and 3D applications usage

  • Experience on building pathology with practices and techniques including Health and Safety regulations

  • Able to work under pressure and make responsible decisions while working with tight deadlines and complex budgets.

  • IT literate and able to write reports and deliver presentations



Salary & Benefits



  • Pay : £39,000- £40,000 per annum

  • 37 hours per week, Full Time - flexible working
