Childcare Area Support Manager - 30 hours per week.


Monday - Friday


£18,000 - £19,500 DOE.

Our Client, based in Cheltenham is seeking a Passionate & Enthusiastic Area Support Manager to oversee two locations within Gloucestershire. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Company Owner. This is a permanent role.


This is an office based role. However will be required to visit locations from time to time to oversee and ensure the processes are being maintained.




Job duties:



  • Overall responsibilities of the day to day operation and management of all out of school care programmes in our clients organisation.

  • To maintain up to date financial and attendance records for staff (payroll) using agreed systems on a daily basis.

  • Manage, direct & inspire the team.

  • Create and maintain an environment where staff thrive and build on their skills utilising professional development opportunities that become available

  • Organise and oversee staff meetings, monthly/quarterly as needed

  • ensure displays and front of house information is up to date and in line with the clients branding at all sites

  • To act as a liaison between Centre Managers and Head Office and ensure the reporting line is known to staff

  • Invoicing & general administration.



Candidate Attributes:




  • Experience of working in a childcare, play work or school setting

  • Experience of working with school age children

  • excellent administrative skills.

  • Appropriate childcare qualification/knowledge

  • A passion for working with children

  • Comprehensive understanding of OFSTED inspection standards

  • Strong leadership skills to include experience of supervising and managing staff

  • Ability to work on own initiative, using professional judgement and common sense
