Assistant Compliance Officer - Braintree


Our successful client based in Braintree are recruiting an Assistant Compliance Officer to join their team.


As Assistant compliance officer, you will be responsible for providing full administration and project support to the compliance team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Support day-to-day the management of the external compliance Auditors. That the Auditors meet their targets ensuring we receive regular reports, these are circulated, outcomes actioned, completed, and closed and that the Auditors regularly attend that contractors' meetings.

  • Take responsibility for and support the administration processes in the Compliance team and our interface with teams within the organisation and externally to ensure that the Compliance Manger can readily obtain all necessary information to report organisational & statutory compliance and building safety to the Leadership team, Board and external third parties.

  • Use Keystone and other reporting tools to analyse our data in the delivery of compliance services. Reporting and discussing outcomes to the Compliance manager and appropriate operational service delivery mangers.

  • Mentor, manage and train the Compliance Team to enable them to provide administration support to the team, whilst leaning about Property Compliance.

  • Support the undertaking on a quarterly basis the of internal Audits of our Gas, Asbestos, EICR, Water treatment (Legionella) services, etc. to provide assurance to the management team of our operational compliance and preparedness for external audit including an audit check of external third party management sheets to ensure that the UPRN's and addresses are correct when compared to our property data in our asset management system.

  • On a monthly basis regularly review with the Asset Management & Development teams to ensure that all key documents are being uploaded in a reasonable time following completion of the works in our properties.

  • Use a variety of software / database / IT systems for daily, weekly, or monthly reporting and monitoring our Compliance services.

  • Regularly review and update the Process Maps which refer to activities involved in Property Compliance defining who is responsible, to what business process should be completed, and how the success of the process can be determined.

  • Work with the company's inhouse delivery teams to review, develop and implement new working practices information file paths and processes to improve business efficiency whilst ensuring we retain 100% property compliance and building safety for those works undertaken by the inhouse teams.

  • Maintain service delivery to support and cover the Assistant Contract (Services) Manager and become familiar with the processes and roles that they undertake.


REQUIRED SKILLS



  • Experience of Keystone reporting tools, Outlook, Word, Excel & Sharefile

  • Basic Construction knowledge.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and seek to maintain Continuing Professional Development.

  • High level of IT skills including experience of external third-party management sheets.

  • Flexibility to adapt to rapid changes in long- and short-term practices or situations.

  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.


Location: Braintree


Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm


Salary: £24,000-£26,500 per annum
