Are you passionate about what you do, and delivering a first class service. We are looking for an experienced Finance/Accounts Assistant to join their busy team!


In this role you would be for performing the general accounting functions and carrying out the company's payroll function, however it would not just be limited to this.


Responsibilities



  • Daily bank reconciliation

  • Maintaining the fixed asset register, this would need to be updated monthly to ensure accuracy

  • Prepayments & accruals

  • VAT returns

  • Assisting with the Sales Ledger, raising and posting of sales invoices

  • Reconciliation and processing of credit cards through the companies accounting system

  • Ensuring all expense claims are on the system and are coded to correlate with the accounting system

  • Working in a partnership with the Purchase Ledger Clerk to enable all proforma payments / direct debits and standing orders are accurately updated onto the system

  • Leading the administration of the company's payroll function to include:

  • Processing the weekly timesheets onto the in-house system and the wages input sheet

  • Submission of payroll input to outsourced payroll service

  • Liaison with outsourced payroll service

  • Ensuring everything is entered into the spreadsheets relating to the payroll function

  • Providing support to other elements of the accounts team during busy periods or holiday

  • Filing and archiving to ensure everything is accurate and also supporting with the implementation of new systems

  • Keeping the Accounts Management team up to date with any issues


Experience required


- Strong background in accounts and finance, including payroll and sales ledger


- Fantastic organisational and communication skills


- Experience with accountancy software and systems
