We are looking for an Assistant Supervisor to join S.T.A.R.T (Short Term Assessment and Reablement Team) in Sutton, Surrey.

S.T.A.R.T is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of professionals from both Adult Social Services and the NHS including Support Workers, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.

About you..
Are you able to work in a fast paced front line community service supporting people on discharge from hospital to maximise their independence in their own homes?

Are you experienced and or confident to manage crisis situations effectively to prevent hospital admissions?

Are you able to work in a flexible environment to meet the changing demands of the service?

NVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent. An experienced Moving and Handling Risk Assessor who can confidently assess and put in place appropriate equipment or aids, to ensure the safety of an individual whilst enabling them to live independently in their own home, with or without support?

We are looking for..
An Assistant Supervisor who can demonstrate character traits such as empathy,honesty, flexibility and the ability to provide warm encouragement.

Are you passionate and committed to supporting older and disabled people to be as independent as possible and maximise their quality of life in their own homes?

Are you reliable, committed and available to work 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hold a full clean UK driving licence and a car available for work?

Do you have the skills to manage and support a team on a daily basis providing supervision and training? A confident and professional manager who can manage sickness, capability or disciplinary proceedings, in line with LBS policy and procedures.

An Assistant Supervisor will be required to manage the service duty desk, managing incoming queries, concerns or any crisis that have been raised. This will require you to work within a rota system covering an early start and a late finish; for example an early start at 08:00 and a late end at 18:00. However, you are expected to manage and resolve queries
