Payrate - £320 per day Umbrella Inside IR35

We are seeking a school auditor to undertake school audits on an agency basis to deliver work for 2021/22, the majority of the audits will be undertaken within Surrey, although there may be a need to undertake some audits for East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
A developed remote school audit programme, all school audits are currently being undertaken remotely.

Under the supervision of Audit Managers and Senior Auditors, carry out independent and objective assurance activities. To help our client achieve its objectives by adopting a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and reporting, both orally and in writing, on the effectiveness of the control environment as a contribution to the proper, economic, efficient and effective use of resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Planning, preparing and arranging school audits, including corresponding with the school headteacher, chair of governors, business manager, finance and school improvement officers;
Holding opening and closing meetings;
Undertaking the school audit, obtaining evidence sufficient to support the findings and conclusions;
Preparing the school audit report;
Responding to the review process;
Issuing the audit report and managing any queries.

The successful candidate will:
Have a history of delivering internal audit work, ideally within schools;
Have excellent inter-personal skills;
Have the ability to plan ahead and work under pressure;
Be a competent user of common ICT applications e.g. MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook etc;
Have the ability to work on own initiative and manage conflicting work priorities flexibly.
