Adecco Wellingborough are currently recruiting for the below role for our well established role based in Park Farm Industrial Estate-

Bespoke adaption and sole unit maker-

Salary- £19,000 to £25,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours- 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday

7:30am - 12:30pm Friday

Summary of work involved

The applicant will benefit from an understanding of Orthopaedic footwear terminology with previous experience a positive advantage, If not orthopaedic a good footwear construction knowledge.

The making and attaching of sole units as per customer specifications.

This will involve :-

Standing at a work bench whilst:

Working with hand tools /measuring devices

Working on roughing machines /band saws /pillar drills

Working with a shoe with no sole unit attached

Making a sole unit from a pre set work instruction

Materials involved

Leather /E.V.A / P.V.C / Rubber

The applicant should have

Good hand eye coordination

Be able to work in a safe manner

Health and Safety

Health and safety procedures must be followed at all times. Care must be taken when using cutting blades and hand tools. All tools and machinery must be checked before use to ensure they are safe to use. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
