My Local Authority client, based in the Hampshire are looking for Building Safety Inspectors to join their growing Housing Maintenance department.



This role is offered on a temp to perm basis with a closing date of 29th November 2020.



The Role



The authority oversee more than 5000 dwellings where they are looking to minimise fire risk to tenants by providing a comprehensive and legislative fire and health and safety function across all housing stock.



Reporting to the Housing Health and Safety Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the authority meet legislative compliance in relation to statuary fire regulations and landlord regulations. You will mange the councils housing fire regulations management system, ensuring a safety first culture across the service. You will also:




  • Engage with residents regarding fire safety

  • Provide fire safety guidance

  • Perform fire alarm and emergency lighting tests

  • Perform regular inspection of estates

  • Test and inspect fire doors



Candidate Requirements



For this role you will need to be a FDIS Certificated Inspector due to the nature of the position.
