I am currently recruiting for a Bureaux Manager for my client, a foreign exchange company, based in New Street Station, Birmingham.

The purpose of the role is to lead and motivate a team of Travel Service Partners in a bureau to: drive sales, deliver high levels of customer service, manage costs, grow revenue, ensure that all operational, risk & compliance standards are upheld, and ensure our people are happy, motivated whilst being managed in a fair and compliant way.

The role is 37.5 hours per week, with hours between 8:00 - 20:00, Monday - Sunday. The salary for this position is £11.75 per hour, you will also need to be flexible and able to work across other local sites.

  • Driving bureau targets & team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (inclusive of revenue targets, product sales, sales mix, accuracy/error rates etc.) to ensure that budgets are met and exceeded

  • Understanding bureau related financial and operational reports and use the information to drive performance in the bureau

  • Delivering outstanding customer service in store - this will be measured by Customer Experience Visits (CEV), and the standard raised by personally coaching and observing colleagues using the C.A.R.E customer service model

  • Dealing with customer complaints in a professional and timely manner and escalate to Area Manager where appropriate

  • Planning, prioritising and organising time and workload to ensure all colleagues are supported and bureau objectives are met

  • Managing a team - whether this is through coaching the team to drive performance, managing staffing levels in store (through rostering, absence & annual leave management), motivating people, recruitment, and performance management

  • Driving product launches and in-store promotions/campaigns

  • Ensuring the bureau delivers a satisfactory rating for all audits including Store Visit Checklists (SVCs)

  • Ensuring the team are aware of expectations on all operational processes, standards and updates as identified through ongoing monitoring, communication and SVC visits

  • Ensuring team are aware of, trained and fully comply with all relevant risk and compliance based training and legal regulatory requirements including Audit, Risk, Health & Safety, Security

  • Ensuring the team understand and comply with all company policies and procedures

  • Ensuring the team are aware of individual and bureau targets and recognise achievements

  • Keep the team motivated and drive participation in company engagement surveys through effective communication and follow up

  • Undertaking Company training within required timescales

  • Nurturing strong working relationships with store management to drive business

  • Leading by example and demonstrate company values
