Business Analyst in Sales & Trading Lab, Group Transformation
Location: London based

This role sits within the Sales & Trading Lab who are part of the Markets Value Stream (MVS). MVS is responsible for delivery of change across systems that support the commercial banking business, group corporate treasury as well as support functions such as Risk and Finance, Markets Lending & Delivery.

The Sales & Trading Lab works with LBCM Flow Sales and Trading Teams, RFB Traded Products Teams and Sales Teams within Global Transaction Banking, delivering a range of strategic initiatives to increase flow, improve pricing, manage financial risk. Keeping colleagues and our client's safe through regulatory compliance, always working to stay ahead of the game and deepening our relationships with business partners.
So what would I be responsible for?
Your role would involve acting as Business Analysis and Subject Matter Expert within a markets trading software engineering team, acting as the bridge between customer and our cross functional team to support a strategic Re-Platform delivery whilst maintaining a balance of keeping the lights on our existing Foreign Exchange Stack.

You would;
o Gather requirement around new system developments, produce technical and non-technical specifications.
o Supporting the Agile iterative way we develop and deliver our work.
o Communicate & present regular customer updates, managing & informing key stakeholders while influencing or pushing back as required.
o Acting as subject matter expert for a range of trading systems, products and data sets.
o Support user acceptance testing related activities.
o Provide support to end customers around applications and data once live.
You'll be involved with a wide number of projects, and multiple stakeholder groups to understand the structures, business operations, processes, product and service offerings, policies and information systems that enable the Group to achieve its goals.
You will use the insights you gain to understand business problems, challenge existing practices and approaches, propose business improvement opportunities and develop solutions to ensure that the Group's investments meet the needs of its colleagues, customers and stakeholders.

What are we looking for from our applicants?
This is a highly visible and important role for the bank to ensure we deliver the right solutions for our external customers and as equally important our internal stakeholders, ensuring we provide and maintain high availability platforms.
This requires a unique combination of commercial experience, product knowledge plus platform experience as well as experience in developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our stakeholders.
Therefore as a minimum to apply we need to see;
o Prior experience acting as Business Analyst and core associated tasks.
o Experience working within a markets trading function, including knowledge of the full Trading lifecycle of FX and Rates products . As much knowledge in FX Products as possible is desired
o A good knowledge of the end to end software development lifecycle and having worked heavily with software engineers in the past.
o Excellent communication, people management, influencing and presentation skills.
o Experience working within an Agile environment.
o SME Knowledge/Experience of SmartTrade, Quod, Broadway, TradeWeb software an advantage
o Murex 3.1, Digitec D3 knowledge desirable but not wholly essential
