Adecco have been instructed to recruit for a Business Development Executive on the outskirt of York. If you have a passion for sales, this would be a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company and sector!


MAIN DUTIES:


New Business



  • To generate new business from leads generated.

  • To acquire new business by identifying new markets and leads by using the appropriate medium.

  • Develop regular contact with new customers developing rapport and further business opportunities.

  • Follow up mailshots and other activities by follow-up calls.

  • Ensure that all new business is negotiated on the best possible terms with profitability and utilisation being the key factors in obtaining new accounts, while maintaining a competitive edge


Account Management



  • Develop through effective and regular contact, revenue from your


portfolio accounts and where necessary adjusting terms accordingly.



  • Maintain a high level of competitor awareness in all regions of operation and report findings back to Sales Manager and Marketing.

  • To ensure that the company is obtaining the best terms possible but maintaining the competitive edge at all times.

  • Ensure your customers are kept fully informed of our full portfolio of services.

  • Identify potential new service requirements and feedback to Marketing.

  • To make courtesy calls to ensure customer retention.


Quotes and Sales Administration



  • Work with the Sales Managers to develop quotes, proposals or other Sales administration.

  • Produce quotes and other supporting documentation for customers within agreed timescales and following Marketing guidelines.

  • To complete accurate administration of the sales processes including updating the customer data base and use of Contact Manager / Hireman sales in-house system.

  • Manage administration time appropriately to ensure telephone sales time is maximized.

  • Provide Feedback from Customers regarding Competitors, or feedback on our Product Offering to the Sales Manager / Marketing Manager.


Customer Service



  • To provide additional support for Customers as required, for example incoming Sales Calls, Technical support and Customer Services depending on office staffing levels.

  • To pass on leads to other Sales offices / Sales teams as appropriate.

  • Any additional duties within the level of competence as requested by the Managers or Directors of the company.


The role will be targeted and bonus paid on the achievement of revenue targets and any additional KPI's that may be set by your Manager / Director.

Salary: Basic £22k - £25k plus competitive commission and bonus


Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday


Holidays: 23 days - increased on service
