Adecco London are excited to be recruiting for a Business Development Research Manager on behalf of our award-winning, Central Government affiliated client, based in the City. This is a permanent position within a nationally recognised organisation, that work to support millions of customers a year.

In this highly autonomous and varied role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Business Development research team of 3. This role entails providing leadership and guidance across a variety of projects, ranging from market scoping studies to competitor research, and contributing to managing our stakeholder strategies effectively.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the delivery of research projects

  • Supporting the wider business with various projects and implementing new strategies

  • Manage and develop staff as necessary and ensure the team is efficient as possible

  • Monitor, review and improve internal processes and resources

  • Contribute to wider corporate objectives

  • Finance - budgets and business metrics

  • Ad-hoc tasks as deemed reasonable by the business

Ideal candidate and personal qualities:

  • Experience in a management role with the ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams.

  • Ability to create a positive working environment and implement culture change when required

  • Proven ability to oversee a wide range of projects and activities and ensure they are delivered within a fast-paced environment, to deadlines.

  • Expertise across a wide range of business research methodologies and taking an analytical approach to utilising data.

  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and an ability to see how business research can shape wider Business Development goals and activities.

  • Demonstrable networking, influencing and negotiation skills, including the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships/partnerships at all levels in often sensitive situations.

  • IT literate- Competent on the use of Microsoft word, Excel and Office. Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems would be highly advantageous.
