Major Duties and Responsibilities

Country Customer Service Support (20%)

  • First point of contact for CSRs for order chasing / expediting

  • First point of contact for CSRs for product availability / lead time enquiries

  • First point of contact for CSRs for large order enquiries

  • Support CSRs with customer specific data requests (MOQ, LT, Packaging etc)

  • Facilitate customer return requests with COE

  • Communicate service and back order information to CSRs

Country Business Support (20%)

  • First point of contact for Sales and Marketing order chasing / expediting

  • First point of contact for Sales and Marketing for product availability / lead time enquiries.

  • First point of contact for planned promotional activity

  • Communicate current service and back order information to country Sales and Marketing

  • Proactively communicate with COE on business critical items

Material Creation (5%)

  • Raise NPA / NSA requests in database on behalf of Marketing

  • Complete Vistex requirements for NPA

  • Follow progress of material creation (through COE) and communicate to CSRs / Sales / Marketing

  • Raise request to raise local SKU in Legacy

  • Activate (status 1) local SKU

  • Check / amend parameters in local legacy.

Material Maintenance (5%)

  • Action any required changes in legacy as directed by COE (routings / status / stock status)

  • Support COE in PIPO strategy and local required actions

S&OP - Demand Planning Process (20%)

  • Attend European Demand Review led by S&OP Leader (COE)

  • Host the Country Demand Review with Marketing (Sales if appropriate)

  • Translate business input into forecast changes and load into CDR tool

  • Escalate issues to S&OP Leader

  • Pro-actively work with country key accounts for on-going forecast information

  • Follow up demand during promotional activity and inform CMI Planner

NWI - Support COE in resolving and prevent NWI (5%)

  • Facilitate reviews with business / customers / CSRs for Early Warning / NWI identified and communicated by COE

  • Provide country intelligence on possible solutions to COE in agreed format

Service (20%)

  • Inform / escalate key supply chain issues to Supply Chain Manager in COE

  • Complete local execution of manual allocation as directed by COE (X Factor)

  • Seek approval for airfreight on specific orders from COE when business critical.

  • Work with CSM and EDC to prioritise receipts in business critical situations

  • Monitor progress on critical sales orders

  • Monitor key account OTIF and raise concerns / issues to COE

Non COE Inventory (Consignment and 3M Direct) (5%)

  • Management of consignment inventory to GFS standards

  • Raise SKUs on legacy locations for consignment and 3M Direct

  • Manage Early Warning and NWI for consignment and 3M Direct.

  • Manage LMI items in interim until moved to COE

Non Stock (5%)

  • Non stock - Chase plants / vendors for overdue orders.

  • Non stock - Track critical orders through to delivery to customer

  • Non stock - Inform COE of on-going issues / concerns at SOS

  • Non stock - Raise Lex ticket on Bedford EDC to move orphaned inventory to unrestricted stock.

  • Non stock - support COE on removal of non-stock in stock by pro-actively working with customer service to capture future orders and enter with E210 instruction.


  • SAP - First point of contact for CSR on SAP queries before escalation to Super User

  • Support COE with local set up of acquisitions.

  • Raise Direct Response Requests for inventory discrepancies and receiving delays

  • Manage all referrals to required performance standards

  • Check for inventory discrepancies between SAP / WMS on critical orders.

  • Complete all requirements for local operational reporting

  • First point of contact for Bedford EDC on stock/ SKU related issues.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Monthly completion of all country data reporting

Project Leadership and Project Team Involvement

Involvement in String Training to formally train colleagues and also to assist in training other colleagues.

Involvement in COE led Projects.

Provide expertise in managing specific key customer requirements.

Influence and educate customers (internal and external) in the benefits of forecasting and demand planning.

To adhere to appropriate processes and procedures to ensure we maintain our ISO quality accreditation , SOX and GFS compliance


Formal Education/Experience/Field of Knowledge: A Bachelor's degree level of education or equivalent experience through training is normally required to apply knowledge of professional fields such as business administration, mathematics, industrial technology or industrial engineering. In addition, between 4 and 8 years of related job experience are generally required. Professional licensing or certification is encouraged. Knowledge of 3M Policies and Procedures.

Job Skills/Competencies: The employee uses leadership skills necessary for managing projects. Also required are high analytical skills, short-term planning and administrative skills. Senior PC knowledge, SAP knowledge and all Microsoft Business Object Windows Software - High knowledge of excel. Knowledge of the COE logistics supply chain processes.
