Our client a Higher Education organisation is currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer, pay £15.78ph, start ASAP, duration 3 weeks, this role is working from home and 3 days a week on Campus which is based at the Strand.

Main duties below:

General Support

  • Dealing with internal and external enquires and liaising across the College on behalf of the Cluster to clarify information and obtain services as required.

  • To develop and maintain electronic and manual filing systems.

  • To take a proactive role as secretary to the Committees, meetings and working groups, producing agendas, sending electronic invites and minuting as required.

  • To assist with the organisation of events including internal seminars, visiting lectures, including dealing with registration, booking rooms and ordering catering.

  • To assist the Head of Cluster Administration, Business Support Manager and Business Support Administrator with ad-hoc projects as required.

  • To support the professional services team, as directed by the Business Support Manager, as necessary.

Human Resources

  • To support the administration of Human Resource processes such as recruitment, induction, probation, progression, promotion, and recognition pay.

  • To update cluster staff logs and carry out right to work checks for new staff members.


  • To be aware of and act in accordance with College Financial regulations and Policy.

  • To keep records of expenditure against budgets and budget codes and School Assets.


  • To assist in getting the cluster spaces ready for the start of the academic year.

  • To create and put up office door signs and other required signage.

  • To allocate keys and equipment to new members of staff.


  • To support the Business Support Manager with regard to Health and Safety and Risk Management.
