My expanding client a leader within their field, with exciting prospects in the pipeline are looking for a CAD Technical Designer, based close to Colchester.


You will play a vital part within the business, liaising closing with the commercial and sales team.


The role requires the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast track and dynamic environment. The client has a collaborative approach to all projects so being a team player is essential.


You will be involved with providing technical drawings, BIM, specifications into plans. Experience is essential for this position and ideally come from an Engineering, Architectural or Building background.


The ideal candidate:



  • Highly experienced Technical CAD designer with a passion for producing technical drawings for personalised client brochures.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of drawing and detailing accuracy.

  • Previous experience with BIM, Revit and CAD is essential.

  • Has a strong understanding of construction methodology and materials for the production of construction drawings.

  • Ability to think creativity in the interpretation of designs in relation to application of budget, deadlines, use of materials and construction method.

  • Has a good understanding of the commercial aspects of delivering design.



Salary is negotiable


Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30- 17:00
