We are looking for a Calibration Technician to work for a global company based in Corby


Duration: On-going temporary role


Salary: £10.50 per hour


Hours: 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday



Overview:


As part of the calibration team, you will perform time critical calibration to customers' requirements on instrumentation. You will be required to calibrate test & measurement instruments to exact requirements set out by ISO17025 & UKAS.


A required level of productivity is required to ensure that service levels to our customers are met, to enable items are despatched within the departments published turnaround times.



Some of your duties will included:


� Interpreting a product specification to prove manufactures claims and to produce a calibration certificate.


� Adjusting a product to bring it back into manufacturer's specification can be time consuming and can require technical skills.


� To look at the overall workload in the area and department and be focused on completing all calibrations and then checking other areas to help achieve the customer turnaround.


� Interpersonal, communication and telephone skills as communicating with both customers and colleagues is part of the role

� Experience of working a technical environment

� Ability to prioritise workloads and make decisions


� Evidence of delivering against targets


� Evidence of working effectively with others


� Microsoft Office skills.




Desirable


� Proven experience of working within a calibration / technical laboratory


� City & Guilds / ONC / BTEC in similar field


� Knowledge of SAP software
