As Legal Charted Executive you will be working within the commercial property/health care team, ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of legal matters; maximising business opportunities and maintaining a standard of excellence at all times.

Location: Liverpool

Salary: 30,000- 60,000; based on experience


  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service)

The role

  • Dealing with commercial property matters and providing clients with advice and assistance on commercial property issues.

  • Drafting and executing documents including leases, licences, sale contracts, deeds, statutory declarations, Landlord and Tenant documents and notices, and other property related documentation

  • Co-ordination with corporate and commercial colleagues to ensure that all aspects of a transaction are tied together

  • Dealing with exchange of contracts and completion of transactions

  • Dealing with mortgage lenders, including the preparation and submission of certificates on title and post completion satisfying lender requirements

  • Raising and reviewing property enquiries in both a standard format and specific formats applicable to a particular property

  • Identifying legal problems outside of the ambit of commercial property and referring them to the appropriate department Dealing efficiently with correspondence, telephone calls and emails

  • Reviewing both registered and unregistered titles and identifying issues

  • Maintaining a business diary detailing all client and other business appointments

  • Maximising marketing opportunities where possible

  • Attending upon clients and taking instructions

  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations

  • Completing records of key information and reviewing files

  • Maintaining confidentially in all matters relating to clients and the practice

  • Managing own workload by utilising Task Manager

  • Checking with accounts before financial transactions are made

  • Obtaining billing guides before billing a matter

  • Preparing bills and completion statements (or providing instructions to a junior fee earner)

  • Legal research

  • Supervising and training trainee solicitors and paralegals as require

  • Assisting with any updating of the firm's property precedents, where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Legal Executive / Qualified Solicitor

  • Experience in a commercial property role

  • IT literate

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
