We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner / Caretaker in the area of Doddleston, on the outskirts out Chester

Working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Hours are made up of 10 hours cleaning 7am-9am and 10 hours caretaking 3:30pm-5:30pm


  • To be responsible for a designated area and will be expected to clean to the required frequency and standard agreed.

  • To attend all training as required by the Team Leader or Facilities Manager.

  • Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within service level agreement but require attention as a part of maintaining overall high standards.

  • To ensure that all equipment is maintained/cleaned at the end of the shift.

  • To take care of the premises and contents and to prevent as is reasonably practical, and damage to the structure fittings and equipment

  • To be responsible for the opening and closing of the building

  • To carry out basic repairs and renovation work to the premises

  • To be responsible for carrying out all Health and Safety checks, including Fire detection equipment, emergency lighting, asbestos management and legionella checks as required

Skills required:

  • Basic Skills in Plumbing, Carpentry, Grounds Maintenance and Painting and Decorating.

  • Experience of conducting basic Legionella checks

  • IT Skills in basic Word and Excel

  • Able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions.

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties.

  • Experience of operating Buffing Machine

  • Good numeracy/literacy skills

Enhanced DBS [plus Childrens/Adults Barred List]

This is a permanent position paying £9ph for cleaning and £9.36ph for caretaking
