Very pleased to be representing this very successful engineering company based in Sheffield. They are a large company with close to 200 employees and are looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join their ranks.

The company are leaders in machining components for the oil and gas industry, and specialise in exotic materials such as 718,625 and X750. Knowledge of machining these metals is expected. The duties are setting, operating and programming one of their CNC millers to produce components used in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a similar working background and be confident in their own working ability to work independently. The company is looking for someone who can come into their machine shop and hit the ground running in terms of machine setting and programming, the machine that the company have is a Hartford Tornado HCMC-13SG on fanuc control. although the work that my client do is mostly proof machining oil and gas products that are not complex shapes or tolerances, a good level of of CNC knowledge is required due to working primarily on small batches and programs being altered etc.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working to various tolerances that can be between 30 thou and 2 thou, this is both dimensionally and concentricity measured. The company pride themselves on their health and safety and safe working practices, all PPE is provided for all employees and must be worn in certain areas at all times.
