This is a really exciting opportunity to join a business just outside of Kendal, who looking for a CNC Operator to join there forever growing team.



They are looking for someone able to run 5-axis & 3-Axis CNC Routers wood environment, programming CAM software, manual machining/power tools (for example Orbital Sander and Drills), loading of materials, assembly of product and packing product.



Key Tasks



  • Set and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.

  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines

  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result

  • Read and understand the production plan to identify jobs that need to be machined each day, locate material and load the CNC machines with metal ready.

  • You will also be responsible for preparing the products for delivery, including carefully wrapping and boxing or palletising the items in a safe, accurate manner.


Preferred Skills



  • Experienced in operation of CNC Routers (preferred: 5-axis Biesse but all CNC
    considered).

  • Good understanding of FANUC ISO Programming.

  • Knowledge in CAM software (preferred: B_SOLID or MASTERCAM but all software considered).

  • Good Working knowledge of both maintenance and troubleshooting for the repair of CNC Routers.

  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the finish on parts by reading engineering drawings, and specifications to programme the software to produce the desired result when required.

  • Forklift driving experience desirable.

  • An appreciation of business demands.

  • An awareness of environmental impacts, international standards and application
    integration of design ideas.

  • Eagerness to learn and adaptive in approach



Working hours are, Monday to Friday with Friday being a half day.


Salary - £26,000 - £33,000 dependant on experience.
