Adecco Recruitment are currently recruiting for on behalf of our client, an FLT Driver/ Coating Room Support Operative to work for a leading Manufacturer and Distribution company based in Lancaster.

Job Title: Coating Room support Operative

Location: Lancaster

Salary: £23,500

Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (Monday-Friday)

The Company:

Our client is a well established, successful company which is in an exciting stage of its growth. They are a leading manufacturer and supplier based in Lancaster.

Job Overview:

We are currently looking to fill a role within their warehouse on a permanent basis. There is a 6 month probationary period.

The ideal candidate will be looking to develop their skills and apply themselves to enhance an already dynamic team in this department. The career opportunities are vast within the company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Mixing of pigmented adhesive - Training Given. Will need to work closely with the shift leaders to ensure there is enough stock required for production.

  • General servicing of the two coating machines, including making sure sufficient raw material is made available to the operators via the plans.

  • Loading/unloading wagons of adhesive IBCs and the removal of empty IBCs and waste products.

  • Provide adequate cover on the machines for break times when there is a lack of resource on the shifts i.e. Holidays/Sickness

  • Managing live stock transactions, amendments and conducting stock takes through barcoding and manufacturing software on both desktop PC's and handheld scanners.

Minimum Requirement:

  • A safe approach to work

  • Good literacy & mathematical skills,

  • An eye for accuracy and record keeping

  • FLT experience

  • Operating machinery, (full training provided)

  • Manual Handling (training can be provided)


  • Ambitious and dedicated to the job

  • Punctual and willing to go the extra mile

  • Experience in manufacturing an advantage

  • Experience with PC's and barcode scanners an advantage
