Adecco are proud to be working with our Client based in Folkestone who are seeking a Commercial Sales Manager to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an online retailer who specialise in materials for loft conversions and extensions. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong sales and marketing background along with the ability to inspire performance with excellent motivational and leadership skills.



What will you be doing?



  • Day to day management of internal sales team ensuring KPI performance

  • Recruit, manage, schedule and coach sales and marketing teams to meet sales and HR objectives

  • Working with sales team on approaches to building business

  • Reporting to the Company directors

  • Set sales and marketing KPI's to manage activity within the teams

  • Performance management of underperforming team members

  • Continuously identify sales, revenue and efficiency opportunities

  • Oversee planning and budgetary control for all digital activities

  • Use analytics and data to support recommendations

  • Communicate effective business building strategies within the teams

  • Training of the sales team on effective technique and giving advice

  • Ensure all team members are aligned in the data collection requirement

  • Execution of the sales and marketing strategy

  • Oversee email and social media activity to maximise engagement

  • Use company data to understand who our customers are

  • Create and implement a content marketing strategy for the

  • Business Understand and maximise SEO and PPC opportunities

  • Track website conversion rates and recommend improvements

  • Devise strategies to drive online traffic to the company website

  • Manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness

  • Oversee all marketing activity ensuring it fits with the marketing strategy



The ideal candidate:



  • All round sales and marketing experience gained from a medium to large sized organisation

  • Ability to inspire performance with excellent motivational and leadership skills

  • Reward driven with a demonstrable desire to succeed

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in marketing or sales

  • Understanding and technical knowledge of sales and marketing

  • Strong analytical, organisational and creative thinking skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Knowledge of data analysis and report writing

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Recruit, train and manage the sales and marketing teams to meet Company objectives



The package:


Salary circa £50k + Significant Bonus based on achieving the Company's goals. Hours of work for this position are as required to achieve the goals. For the right candidate a Board appointment will be considered after 2 years' service.
