Our client is currently recruiting for a Committee Secretary, pay £23.03ph, start ASAP, duration until end of January 2022, Hours: 37.5 a week (can be flexible, min. 3 days per week) Location Barnet.

Main requirements are:

  • Experienced in providing a full meeting secretariat support and excellent minute-taking skills

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Highly organised, well structured and able to manage own workload and deadlines around meeting dates, ensuring directors meet deadlines around meeting papers, action logs, etc.

  • Forward-planning abilities, planning meetings and agendas well in advance, able to co-ordinate and cross-reference with other meetings to ensure effective communication flows between groups and committees

  • Good communication skills and able to engage with very senior managers and directors at Board level

  • Interpersonal skills - able to influence and manage upwards, able to balance tact and diplomacy with assertiveness and tenacity

  • Able to establish oneself in a new role easily with minimal supervision, self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find out information, solve problems and respond to queries

  • Able to judge when to seek support and when/how to escalate issues
