We are looking for a hard-working, motivated and enthusiastic communications professional to join our busy and friendly team at Kingston Council.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years exp working in a corporate communications team and a proven track record of delivering strategic campaigns, media relations and digital communications. This will involve helping the team with media and campaigns activity that informs, changes behaviour and encourages audiences to work more closely with the council through community engagement. You'll also support the delivery of internal communications activities, respond to media enquiries and generate proactive news content.

A key part of the role is to build networks and relationships with teams across the council, residents, communities and other external partners to develop and deliver communications and engagement activities.

You will have the ability to work independently on key projects, with good attention to detail and demonstrating innovation and creativity.
