Our Higher Education client is currently recruiting for a Communications Officer, pay £17.95ph-£19.95ph, start ASAP, duration 3 months (potential to continue), hours Mon-Fri 35 hours per week, this position is a Hybrid working role, the location of the office is Holborn.


Job description: The Communications Officer sits within the newly formed communications team within the Faculty of Arts & Humanities. The primary function of the team is to support the main function of the Faculty through clear staff and student updates and external facing media. Working under the supervision of the Senior Communications Manager, this role will provide support on all communications channels with particular focus on internal communications within the Faculty and management of web-updates.


Key Responsibilities;



  • Monitoring, responding to and triaging queries through the Faculty mailbox.

  • Approving release of communications to mailing lists

  • Supporting creation of newsletters and other communications

  • Updating external facing website

  • Monitoring and management of Faculty social media channels


Essential criteria;



  • Strong digital skills, including knowledge and experience of CMS, email newsletters, and social media management

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively to manage competing deadlines successfully whilst maintaining attention to detail

  • Good content creation skills

  • Experience in a communications role

  • Planning and managing time pressured projects

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of individuals including senior members of staff, high-level donors, alumni, students, patients and third-party suppliers.
