Job summary

The job will consist of having the responsibility to operationally manage the PR & communications activities for the London school. Related to the positioning, PR, media relations, social media visibility, events and promotional materials, with the aim to promote the school's visibility & reputation towards the media and stakeholders, so to improve the school's awareness and reputation in order to drive the enrolments. The post will also have responsibility in terms of Brand Image and Brand Protection at Local Level.

Key purpose of the role

  • To support the School Business Development Manager in all PR & Communication activities and events production.

  • To implement and follow up the local PR/media relations on/offline to maximise ROI, through day-to-day management of the relationship of the outsourced PR Agency partner/freelance

  • To establish direct relationships with the media (Press/Influencers) acting as link person and supporting the visibility of the School's Directors

  • To create relevant, engaging and unique content and Press Releases for distribution, drawn from school activities and initiatives

  • To be directly responsible for the planning and operational management of year-round School events at Local level, including fashion shows, graduation ceremonies, degree shows, parties and others

  • To collaborate with HQ (specifically Group PR, Media Relations & Events Manager and Group Communications & Advertising Manager) to develop and coordinate internal and external corporate communication projects, always in accordance with Company's strategy and brand guidelines, to respect deadlines, managing suppliers, deliveries and costs within a budget given

  • To be responsible for the relationship between the school and HQ (PR & Comms) regarding the promotion of local projects, within brand guidelines, through the local and corporate social media channels. The post will be also in charge of the production of new appealing material (Images, Video, Interview) useful for the aforementioned activity

  • To implement and operationalize the UK Country media plan (online and offline) meeting deadlines and granting ROI

  • To collect ad-hoc promotional materials, including ad-hoc programme prospectus, flyers, invitations, fairs stand project and other events required materials

  • To be responsible for the local internal channel management, such as newsletters, intranet, events for staff and students; in line with the School's NSS Strategy, CMA compliance and company's global strategy

  • To manage and keep up to date the in-house local archive of clipping and contact details of local media and image library to be able to quickly provide materials under requests of agencies network or Representative Offices or Information Centres Ensure the Local web presence continuously updated.

  • To analyse and periodically check the competitor's communication activities, website and social networks activities, promotional and advertising activities/positioning at local level, with the objective to provide to the schools and also to the Headquarters with an update quarterly and annual intelligence report.

  • To support the School Business Development Manager in the communication flow and approval process between HQ & School related to integrated communications, promotional materials (invoices, PO, contract's approval, forms…)

  • To act as a brand enforcer in all UK and local school activities, protecting the brand during all interactions

Education and desirable skills

  • Bachelor Degree

  • 2/3 years of experience, preferably in similar PR role

  • Organisational and management skills: creation and management of database and reports, problem solving attitude

  • Personal skills: ability to work under pressure, flexibility to travel, teamwork skills, good communication skills, organisation and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of the most common software (mac, xls. ppt. word.)

  • Previous experience in the Education field is a plus

  • English language proficiency. Good knowledge of another foreign language is a plus
