An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Manager to join a private sector organisation based in Dagenham.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of compliance work streams across the business, including mechanical & electrical maintenance, gas and electrical compliance work, as well as legionella, fire safety and asbestos work delivery management. The role will be delivering compliance works to multiple clients at various sites and buildings up to a value of circa £5m.


The successful candidate would hold their HNC/ONC in a building related discipline and be Gas Safe Registered in work types of domestic setting and installation.


The successful applicant would have experience of managing within a commercial contractor environment and demonstrate experience of managing and delivering a multidisciplinary compliance programme including electrical and gas inspection, legionella testing and asbestos and fire management.


Key duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Operational lead for all compliance workstream delivery including gas, mechanical & electrical, legionella, fire, and asbestos services

  • Set up and monitor KPI's for all the Technical Supervisors and Operatives/Engineers, maximising full productivity and use of resources available

  • Prepare reports and deal with correspondence relating to the work of the section.

  • Engage and monitor the performance of specialist contractors

  • Manage the provision of advice and assistance to Head of Minor Works & Compliance with regards to M&E and compliance works monitoring and reporting

  • Developing new solutions and delivery models to improve efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and customer experience.

  • Reporting to the Head of Minor Works and Compliance, the successful candidate will be managing up to 3 direct reports and up to 5 indirect reports.

  • Responsible for the commercial management and control of costs for operational delivery across an area of compliance contracts up to circa £5m

  • To take direct responsibility for the section risk register and identify/advise Head of Minor Works and Compliance of new risks and controls required to mitigate risks and continuously improve performance
