Our client a well-known charity are currently recruiting for a Content Editor/Producer to create and publish content for a re purposed section of the company's new website; the Professionals section. Primarily to provide publishing support for this team, but there will be opportunities to shape content for best use on the site.



  • Location: City of London

  • Pay: £16.72 per hour

  • Type: Temporary

  • Start date: ASAP

  • Duration: Until May 2020

  • Hours: 34.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday


Main Responsibilities:



  • Prepare new and revised content for publication using the Sitecore content management system; producing necessary documentation of content updates or content maps; entering and managing metadata and taxonomy information to make sure content is correctly presented on the website

  • Carry out format-specific edits on content for publication on the website and mobile channels, working within defined content templates and in collaboration with the Digital Media team

  • Support other members of this team as appropriate in the scoping and delivery of this project.


Knowledge required:



  • Digital editorial and formatting skills e.g. able to spot and correct typos, create lists from paragraph content, insert headings

  • Experience of working within content management systems (Sitecore and Gather Content preferred but not essential)

  • Basic preparation of content assets (e.g. selecting and cropping images)

  • Understanding of versioning, taxonomies and metadata.


Tools, techniques and methods:



  • Strong IT skills

  • Familiarity with digital publishing practices

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills

  • Excellent written and verbal English

  • Familiarity with basic HTML


Essential experience required:



  • Experience of digital content publishing using a CMS and producing assets

  • Editorial experience including structuring of content for digital
