We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Consultant to join our University of East London (UEL) onsite team. Based onsite at the Docklands campus of UEL, our team of three is made up of a Contracts Manager, Contracts Consultant and Branch Administrator.



The role of the Contract Consultant will be to assist the Contracts Manager in the complete delivery of recruitment and candidate aftercare management in line with specific UEL requirements. Duties will include the attraction of quality candidates and their subsequent aftercare whilst on assignment with Adecco and UEL. Delivery against agreed costs and timescales is an essential part of the role as well as client and candidate interaction.



In addition to managing UEL's temporary staff recruitment, Adecco also has some challenging targets in supporting the University's strategy in increasing student and graduate employability - we run a variety of student/graduate focussed workshops and presentations, as well as managing bespoke programmes for job shadowing and student mentoring.


As a key member of the team, you will work closely with UEL's students and graduates, offering your support and guidance. You will also be responsible for delivering some of our workshops and presentations, and alongside the Contracts Manager, you will be very involved in the job shadowing and mentoring schemes.


Our business at UEL is very seasonal and therefore usually volume based - we run large recruitment campaigns and hold many assessment centres throughout the calendar year, therefore it is essential that the successful candidate for this role will have a keen eye for detail and have excellent organisational skills.


The successful candidate will have experience within the following areas;



  • You must have previous recruitment/basic H.R experience or similar key attributes.

  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external customers

  • Good verbal and written communications skills

  • Time management, prioritisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines

  • Ability to work equally well on own initiative or a contributing team member

  • Demonstrates a flexible approach to the working day

  • Good knowledge of MS office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to quickly learn new systems
